Our facilities at Flavin Farms are multifaceted to meet all the needs of the horses in our care. You’ll notice that every aspect of your horse’s boarding is met with a very high standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and compassion for the animals.
Horse Barn Amenities
The main horse barn on our property is where our boarding horses spend much of their time. Every stall in the main horse barn is an 'In-and-Out' and is 12x12 feet inside, and each stall has an attached paddock that varies in size outside with new 6-foot-high panels with solid bottoms for safety. For your horse’s comfort and safety, each stall has a rubber mat flooring inside, automatic waterer, fan, and light.
Our shed row barn offers what is basically a fully covered 12 x 24 stall. Every stall has 288 square feet of space for your horse to move around in and get comfortable. Each stall includes rubber mats. Both the main horse barn and the shed row horse barn are cleaned on a daily basis to ensure the comfort and health of each horse.
When your horse boards at Flavin Farms, their cleanliness is just as important to us as the cleanliness of their living quarters. That’s why our barns feature a hot water and cool water wash rack. These wash racks make bathing less stressful and more comfortable for the horses. We’re able to bathe each horse much more effectively so that they’re nice and clean after many hours spent enjoying the outdoors.
Spacious Outdoor Areas
At Flavin Farms, we know how much activity horses need to be happy and content. Since horses are such smart creatures, they also need plenty of mental stimulation and challenge to perform at their best. We took all of this into account when designing and building our facilities, and it shows in our many incredible outdoor areas.
Our horses love spending time in our round pen, which is 36 ft. around and has a footing made of a sand and dirt blend. The footing is groomed regularly using our highly effective arena groomer, which ensures that every horse in the pen is kept safe from injury or discomfort. This area is used often for light training sessions or some peaceful time outdoors. We also have two large turnout areas, one with large shade trees and another with a 12x18 shade shelter.

Flavin Farms’ prime location alongside Vasquez Rocks State Park makes it easy to ride straight from our facilities onto some of the most breathtaking horse trails in all of Southern California. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can get from your horse’s stall to the incredible scenery of Vasquez Rocks with no trailering required!
Opportunities for Training and Regular Exercise
Flavin Farms is also home to a 100x200 ft. outdoor arena, which is also covered with the same sand/dirt footing and groomed on a regular basis. This is where a great deal of training and exercise takes place for our horses.
There are multiple jumps placed throughout the arena for horses to practice their skills with our highly trained staff. The LED lights surrounding the arena make it possible for this area to be used well after sunset. Our clients appreciate this feature, as it makes it possible to book their arena time around their busy schedules.
Our clients are interested in all kinds of training for their horses, including specialized riding techniques, such as dressage. This is why one of our newest horse farm features is our 20x60 meter dressage court, complete with flower boxes. Covered in our sand/dirt blend footing, this area is groomed and dust controlled on a regular basis to make it the ideal environment for dressage training.

Additionally, you can accomplish two goals at once by training your horse with our on-site trainer while they’re boarding with us! We have multiple outdoor arenas designed for different types of training, including English, dressage, Western, and more.
